What is Mental Health?

Let's Dive In:

       Mental health encompasses our psychological, social, and emotional well-being. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary (2023), mental health is "the general condition of one's mental and emotional state."  Things like your behavior, mood, actions, feelings, and thoughts are affected by the state of your mental health. A lot of factors contribute to building or tearing down your mental health. Some of these include genetics, family history, biological determinants, using and/or abusing drugs and alcohol, and social aspects.  Nami

Staying physically active can positively impact one's mental health, which is a great benefit in it's own. Additionally, having good mental health can lead to better and more positive relationships with friends, family, and even with a romantic partner.
